The V&G Standard 3U VPX memory card features an XMC memory card plus VPX carrier board design. The XMC memory card adopts the “Tang” series of ultra-fast SSD master chip solution from V&G. It follows the NVMe protocol, the transmission interface PCIe3.0 x4, the maximum sequential write speed of 3.0GB/S, and the maximum sequential read speed of 3.2GB/S. The maximum available capacity is 3.2TB. The carrier board design follows the VITA specification and the connector uses a VPX connector as defined by the standard VITA specification.
This 3U VPX memory card is designed for higher performance and reliability needs and can be used in a wide range of rugged computer applications based on the VPX architecture. At the same time, this 3U VPX memory card is modular in design and supports separation of data storage modules from the carrier board. The XMC memory daughter card can be directly applied to an X86 motherboard with a XMC (PCIe 3.0×4) interface, or with an XMC to PCIe adapter board from V&G, used on a conventional x86 test platform to read stored data.
